22Rapunzel is a beautiful young girl with a long golden hair. She lives in a tall tower in the middle of the forest. A wicked witch keeps her there because she wants to take Rapunzel%u2019s beauty all to herself. The tower has no doors, only one window. The only way to get in or out is by climbing Rapunzel%u2019s long, golden hair.Every day, the witch comes to the tower and shouts, %u201cRapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!%u201d Rapunzel obeys and lower her hair for the witch to climb up. Once at the top of the tower, the witch says, %u201cRemember, Rapunzel, you belong here with me.%u201dDespite her loneliness, Rapunzel finds joy in singing. %u201cSinging takes me away from here, even if just for a moment,%u201d she says to herself.One day, a prince hears Rapunzel%u2019s beautiful singing. He hides and watches how the witch gets into the tower. When the witch leaves, he gathers his courage and calls to Rapunzel, %u201cRapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!%u201d Rapunzel gets surprised and asks, %u201cWho are you?%u201d The prince replies, %u201cI am a friend.%u201d Rapunzel
